Default Sony Total Recall (2012) disc replacement program

Saw this on Digital Bits. Sony has confirmed and is working on replacing the discs for the recent release of Total Recall and related audio dropout issues:

"“Sony is reprinting this title without the defects. We will ship you a replacement when we receive the new disks. In order to send you a replacement we do ask that you send us your copy. First we do need the following information:

What is the UPC # under the barcode of the movie case?

Your Name?

Mailing address (No PO Boxes)?

Once we receive this information, we will send you information on how to return your disk to us.

Should be noted Samsung is not listed in the workaround so they must have done something right! My BD-C6500 has yet to offer me a single issue and the firmware is probably 2 years old.

Dear Tony,

Thank you for your e-mail. We appreciate your interest in Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) products.

After further investigation and testing on the Total Recall Blu-Ray discs produced, we have found that changing your player's audio settings and contacting the manufacturer of your player to inquire about new firmware is the best course of action to take to fix the audio issue.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Please feel free to contact us with any further inquiries.

Thank you for your continued patronage and for taking the time to contact us.

Regards,

Jay Walker
