Default 'Game Change' - High-Def Digest Review

E has just reviewed 'Game Change.' He says this is a must see for political junkies. The Blu-ray features superb picture quality, excellent audio, and a light assortment of extras. Recommended.

I will say that this movie gave me a different view of McCain, resulting in more respect for him. It was evident he didn't want to get into the deep mudslinging. After he was pulled in he was completely surprised by the vitriol it created.

[Note: This is a deeply politically charged movie. Everyone has different opinions. Let's all try to keep this thread civil, no matter our political leanings.]

I really liked this movie, once it falls bellow the $10 mark I'll pick it up. Julianne Moore did a better job than I ever could have imagined, she blew Tina Fey out of the water with her performace lol. I think McCain would have lost with or without her, but she made it a much bigger loss. I used to like McCain way back before he started running for president and became opposite man, back when he was anti torture and criticized the Bush admin, selecting Palin was the straw that broke the camels back.

I agree with everything you said, Plis.
Tina Fey is very overrated. She is liked because who she has portrayed comically/sarcastically, IMO.
Moore is a much more established actress.
McCain forgot where he came from, IMO. The public hates mudslinging but it works in elections. It's a big reason McCain and Romney(recently) lost. The mainstream media also has a big part in the way it destroys(tries to)politicians. I won't delve further into my political beliefs here.
I will give this a rent.

I do wish they'd taken the full book and turned this into a three part mini-series. The drama in the Clinton campaign and the sheer insanity in the Edwards campaign would each have made great movies. Hopefully Aaron Sorkin will still make his movie on Edwards.

It will never happen, IMO
If they were Republicans it surely would have been made into movies.

Looking forward to the tell-all expose book about the Romney campaign (and the inevitable HBO movie).
