Just watched Chapter 8 and 9 again, no audio drops.

Looking at the back of my disc - my eyes suck, but on the outer ring I can see BVDL-391620A1 5, inner ring BDVL-391620B1 4. This is a retail copy from Target of the theatrical played back on a PS3 connected to a Pioneer SC35 AVR.

Haven't had the chance to try the movie on my other players yet. Will try playing the extended disc on the PS3 shortly.

Yeah, it seems to be happening randomly from what I'm reading in the AVS thread right now. Can't figure what the problem is.

I started a thread on the audio on Tuesday. If you have the audio drops, switch your player output to PCM. That just fixed it for me.

Sorry to keep chiming in but I did notice an audio drop - in the theatrical at the beginning of chapter 9 at the 53:39-53:40 mark, it happened for a split second and was tough to hear and didn't negatively affect the scene. But I wonder if there are other micro audio drops like this throughout that I missed?

It's possible. Did you also, by chance, hear subtle pops in the background? I heard them constantly as well and think they might be micro audio drops on my end.

It's frustrating having to change the settings on the player in order to watch the movie. Wonder if it's related to the branch-streaming or something to do with the "Insight Mode."

Even though I may have missed more mini drops like the one I described, definitely did not hear the audio constantly popping in the background. Am not sure what's causing it as well I wonder if a simple firmware update can fix the issue?

Me again, I heard another mini drop during chapter 14 at around the one hour and thiry minute mark (when he's taking off in that future helicopter jet), I can't pinpoint it exactly because when I tried to rewind it and listen to it again, it magically never happened again. Very random weirdness.

As for discussion of the movie itself, for now all I can say is that Len Wiseman = One Lucky MOFO. Kate Beckinsale seems to get more hotter in each movie I see her, imo, I'd marry her in a heartbeat, as well, lol.

Watched five minutes of this movie before turning it off. Instantly hated it. Another movie made for the purpose of showing off your new HDTV.
