Default 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding: 10th Anniversary Special Edition' - High-Def Digest Review

E has reviewed 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding: 10th Anniversary Special Edition.' He says this surprise sleeper hit of 2002 still delivers the laughs ten years later. The Blu-ray features fairly solid video and audio and a few exclusives supplements. Fans should be happy. Worth a look for others.

haha! Yes, typical routine romcom...but whatever. I like this movie.

I hate this movie. It absolutely drowns in stereotypes.

    Mistake in the review:

Admittedly, the film directed by Joel Zwick, who's career is largely found in a variety of television sitcoms

The movie was a very big hit. It makes me wonder why no one bothered to see the TV spin-off. In my naive mind, the people who bought a ticket to see this on the big screen are automatically going to check out the series.

The movie was a hit primarily because it drew a lot of repeat business from old ladies who loved it and then had to drag every member of their family to see it with them. That same old lady who paid for movie tickets five or six times was only counted toward the TV ratings once.

I guess I don't get this movie. I know most of the Greek stereotypes and yet I still did not laugh once while watching it. It was boring and my wife agreed.

Currently, it is $5 at Best Buy...

I spent a considerable time debating whether to buy My Big Fat Greek
Wedding. All because it had a weird slipcover. It was nice and embossed.
But what was weird was that it was shorter than the case height. The top
part of blue plastic case was exposed. Glad I came to my senses and put
    it back on the shelf.

I already had it on DVD and haven't revisited it in 8?9? years. Stupid what
a $5 price and an unusual slipcover does to me.
