Default Pirates of the Caribbean

Alright, I have the Sony BDP-S300, and I just purchased Pirates1. Now when I drop this disc into the player, it takes about 30 seconds loading, then changes the loading screen for another 30 seconds (Spinning coin this time), and finally goes to intro previews and stuff like that.

Is this BD Java that is being loaded? And if so, what are the features and purposes of all of that?

I'd love to understand this.

It is the BD-J loading. It's for the fancy menu system and the game.

I think it's because of the PS3's cell broadband processor, which is way more powerful than the one in the S300. Also, while the S300 takes 40-50seconds to boot up, the PS3 boots up in 3-5 seconds.

I really hope that as time goes on and the price of the cell drops, Sony finds new ways of investing it into their lineup of different products. I think it could make for some amazing devices from them

Yeah, that PS3 is just a couple of steps away from being a PC.
