Default 'The Tim Burton Collection' - High-Def Digest Review

Tom Landy has reviewed 'The Tim Burton Collection.' Fans, if you haven't ordered it already, this set is recommended.

The fact that the reviewer gave Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the same rating as Beetlejuice is just pure cinematic blasphemy. Beetlejuice is one of Burton's masterpieces, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is pure unredeemable crap. Oh well, I guess that's why I always take HDD's movie and tv reviews with a large grain of salt.

I admit I didn't read the entire review, but where the hell is Nightmare Before Christmas?

a very large grain of salt indeed.. Batman '89 at a 3 out of 5. Sigh.

Disney != WB/NL. It is unknown if WB/NL approached Disney about these two properties, to include them in some way, but fact is, most studios DON'T share properties for these kinds of box sets. it's a rarity.

now, isn't this set already OOP due to the current moratorium on Batman Blu-rays? I mean, NOW would be the time to sell hte fuckin' things, but due to TDKR coming out in under a month, we're seeing a supply dip to increase demand for a rerelease, be it new discs or no.

Well technically speaking, they were reviewed by two different reviewers.

And like all four Batman films in this set, this is a slick encode, with no major artifacts and delightfully free of edge enhancement.
might want to fix this part, since there are only 2 batman films in the set. you could change it to something like.... "Like the other batman film in the set, this is a slick....." etc

Nightmare Before Christmas wasn't directed by Burton.
