FINALLY!!! for some bizarre reason, I've always loved this strange sequel in the franchise.

Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash
we have very little reason to be interested in them.

Quite the standalone tale compared to the first two is it not?

I like what Carpenter was trying to go after with the movie, switching the tone and moving away from the Myers storyline. Too bad it didn't really take off.

I agree - this is a seriously underrated flick, seems to have a growing cult following though.

With respect to other posts in this thread, I think this is the weakest entry in the Halloween franchise, imo. Just cheesy and weak without Michael Myers. For me...I go from II to IV when I feel like viewing this classic series of flicks. I don't even recognize III. But....who am I right, lol. Happy for others who enjoy this entry.

It's one hell of a lot better than Halloween Ressurection. Very very glad to see this movie on Blu Ray! Just need 4 and 5 and we'll have the whole sha bang!

Same here, I used to not like it because of the Meyers absence, but it's really a neat movie in it's own right.
