It is great that Universal and Paramount is finally getting in gear with these older Spielberg movies on Blu-Ray, what is the news of Schindler's List coming to Blu-Ray to mark 20 years in 2013?

Much like the posting I made of the transcript of his interview with Entertainment Weekly. Let's see if he holds true to his word and offers either the original or both (but NOT just the digitally altered version.)
Unlike Lucas I think he will offer a choice, I'm predicting both versions on the same disc.

kudos on bringing over all the dvd extras. but i guess since the only mention of the 2002 version is deleted scenes, it wont be part of this package. but it works out, i can ditch the dvd copy in this package and replace it with the 2002 dvd so yay. lol

Glad that the original cut is on this Blu-Ray release. Day one purchase for me just for that.

I wonder if it is going to have the remastered score that was on the DVD.

It's only the theatrical version. Spielberg didn't like the remodeled one to much if I read aintitcoolnews.com right.

So in good news, the guns are back, as seen in the trailer for the BD.

It's not Universal or Paramounts fault that the Spielberg titles are taking its time to get released. Its Spielberg himself. He has control over the releases, and as he (and George Lucas) did with DVD, they wait until the format is big enough, and then start to release their lesser movies, with one or two classics to see how good they sell. Speilberg released the classic "Close Encounters..." first, then a few lesser ones. And now as the BD format is big enough we will see his big movies coming out.

Like Jurassic Park last year, and Jaws, Indiana Jones and ET this year.
