Age...he is not a young boy to do all the stuff and recover from the many injuries he usually gets. He gave us ton of amazing things to watch on film but sooner or later it happens to all of us.

^^ That's a very likely possibility of why we don't see much of his usual stunts in 'Medallion.' But according to some stories and rumors, Columbia TriStar, responsible for the U.S. release, did quite a bit of editing and re-shooting, which not only shortened the original runtime but also explains the story's overall sloppiness and the movie's fast-pace, jerky feel.

It would be interesting to see Gordon Chan's original vision as he imagined and supposedly filmed it.

Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash
we have very little reason to be interested in them.

Only 99% correct....

Donnie Yen is going to celebrate next year his 50iest Birthday. Even in this "high" age, he is shooting fantastic action/martial art scenes. He is phisically top notch and currently THE ONE martial arts star worlwide.

The US people like to see Jackie Chan as a comedian with "some" fighting skills, but always, the comedy part is more imporant then the action. To inform you, this phenoman also happened to Jet Li.

You see, their age has finally not really anything to do with what kind of movies they are creating, it's more the film business and the audience in the US, who wants to see them in those kind of "action" movies.

Well he is still 7 years younger and in that range each years weights more plus I doubt he has broken as many body parts as Jackie

I do understand that business is business so yes I see your point as well.
