Yes, but I'll wait for a price of $14.99 or less.

They're gonna be playing this next month at one of my local arclight cinemas, but it's the 'digital print," so it will probably be the Blu-ray. Wish they could use a 35mm print instead,

Yeah, the Blu-ray is still pretty dope, though.

Whenever I am asked what my favorite film of all time is, the first one that always comes to mind is Chinatown. So happy to see that Paramount has done this film proud on Blu. And yes, it is a shame that the film was given just the one oscar; a very deserving one at that for Towne. In just about any other year, it probably would have won multiple awards but it had the unfortunate timing of being nominated in the same year as The Godfather Part 2. Still, I never tire of watching this film and am really looking forward to the Blu-ray.

Meh. Any movie is probably in much better company, the fewer Oscars it wins.

this is flat out one of the very best films ever made, period. i didn't fully realize this fact until the third viewing, when i noticed just how far the societal depth of the picture has, most notably in the fish motif, which correlates nicely to one of the best and most underrated quotes of the film - "He's honest, as far as it goes. Of course, he has to swim in the same water we all do."

this masterpiece is cinema at its most remarkable.

It's one thing to lose to Godfather II, but to Art Carney? I know sentiment had everything to do with it, but come on! That's what Lifetime Achievement Awards are for.
