Default 'Thumbelina' - High-Def Digest Review

Aaron has just reviewed Don Bluth's 'Thumbelina.' He says the films hasn't aged as well as he had hoped. As for the Blu-ray, well, Bluth doesn't have the benefit of the Disney vault to keep his pictures in tip top shape. This looks OK, but it's no great shakes. Still, any
Bluth film is worth a look.

I don't think I ever gave you crap for "thinking you liked this film." It happens to all of us. I got hit in the face hard with reality when it came to reviewing some of the other films in my childhood.

I hope, hope, hope (etc) that 'The Land Before Time' will have a decent transfer. It's my favourite animated movie of all time.

I hope they don't charge an arm and a leg for it. It's a little over an hour long.

But our biggest hope should be actually hearing an announcement regarding the other Bluth titles. It's taking too long.
I, for one, am prepared to spend a lot of money on The Land Before Time and Titan A.E.. Decent transfer, audio and new special features are a minimum, however.

Needless to say: "very, very recommended". Rent the DVDs if you can, you're missing out on superb films!

I have the DVD of this movie, got it for free off a cereal box. It is just a weird movie with a really creepy vibe in certain parts.

As for Gottfried - he made a perfect Iago, but yeah, little bits of him go a loonnnnggggg way.

I have the Video CD of this movie, got it for free from a collector. Too bad the picture quality is, eh, non-existent. Worse than VHS.
