Missed it at the cinema, but I've had it ordered from Amazon UK for a while.... I'm glad it's so highly recommended!

The motorcycle chase for the scrolls is one of the most impressive set pieces I have ever seen.

I didn't think the film found its footing until around the moment they hit the desert. I enjoyed the film up until then, but it was then that I felt the characters really started to click.

Not a perfect film, but I certainly enjoyed it.

Any game that features paid loot boxes should be rated AO.

I did not like the film much and would give it 2.5 stars.

The characters are all extremely flat and either lack personality completely (Tim) or are extrene cliches (Haddock). The humour is also often quite silly and not funny at all (for example Haddock belching into a plane motor or rotating around a propellor).

The story is almost nonexistent and very episodic...Probably cause they squeezed plot elements from three graphic novels into the movie.

Also while the backgrounds and movements look extremely good, especially Tim looks like a creepy pinocchio: It still falls into the Uncanny Valley like the Polar Express did.

Overall I was quite disappointed with Tintin, especially regarding all the great talent involved.

Just as a counterpoint, I tend to like physical humor and thought Haddock going around the prop (with Snowy accidentally falling at the same time) was one of the funniest moments of the film.

I think the review is spot on personally. Well done.

Great review! Excellent points all around.

Just one tiny mistake: the 'Parisian market' is, in fact, the weekly Marollen-market in Brussels (where Hergé grew up).
Spoiler
Which explains why Hergé shows up in a cameo, as the artist who draws Tintin.

I've heard this movie is awful and should only be watched by those with insomnia.
