Default 'The Lady Vanishes' - High-Def Digest Review

David Krauss has reviewed the Criterion release of one of Hitchcock's very best films. Read his review to find out why this Blu-ray comes HIGHLY recommended.

I gotta have this too. The excellent transfer of an excellent movie, along with highly appealing special features, make me inclined to just get it now for the $28 on Amazon. I'll make an exception for Hitchcock on my wait for Criterion sale rule.

I watched this on Netflix streaming a few months back. As one of Hitchkock's earlier films I must say that it seems like, well, one of his earlier films. He improved on his craft with later movies.

I'll have to get this during the next Criterion sale as well. Haven't seen any Hitchcock films (!), but it sounds right up my alley.

I think I saw this film as a child and liked it alot even then, and I'm just 35. Shame this was released after the last B&N sale since it would be one of the easiest picks for a Criterion newbie as myself.

While I felt this movie was decent and had an excellent concept, it felt less suspenseful than Hitchcock's later work. Regardless, nearly every Hitchcock movie is great, and this one is at least good. Still, no way can I justify buying this.
