Isn't Ice Age set millions of years in the past? How do they know about Christmas?

PS
"It's only 25 minutes long and harkens back to almost every old joke of the subsequent 'Ice Age' films." --- I think you mean "previous" films, not "subsequent".

Apparently Santa Claus was still figuring out how to give out gifts back then...

It wasn't THAT bad. But after seeing it, my wife and I decided the $8 that Walmart was charging for the privelage to own this was too steep...

I actually did feel it was THAT bad. The story is completely stupid, even by kid's cartoon standards. The human Santa Claus living in the prehistoric era (which nobody finds odd) and every other part of the concept is just entirely under-thought.

Jesus was an alien. This is the only explanation.

You don't find talking Mammoths, Sloth and any other animals as odd?

Every fiction has its own rules. Stretch the rules too far and they break, or at least the integrity of the narrative does. To be honest, I do not enjoy Ice Age anyway, but this is by far the worst Ice Age cartoon. The GF forced me to watch it, s'all.

it depends who sets the rules, right? the only thing that bothered me was the drawing style of the human santa doesn't jive with the style of the rest of the characters.
