Default The most highly recommended Blu-Ray Movies.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the most highly recdommended Blu-Ray movies are. THese can be from sites or from what people say around the boareds.

Apocalypto and the Pirates Movies Are tremendous Transfers. Departed Excellent Movie

Out of the ones i own (see my signature) i think i'd break them down into 3 categories for recommendations:

Value (whats on the discs):
Pirates 1 + 2
World Trade Centre


Transfer:
Pirates 1 + 2
Deja Vu
World Trade Centre
Ice Age 2
Scanner Darkly


Quality of film:
Pirates 1
Deja Vu
Casino Royale

I would agree with this also - however personally for me Departed is not my kind of movie, but for that type of movie its still really good.

A lot depends on what you are interested - a lot also Open Season and Chicken Little look good to me - because animations seam to look better in HD. I can't wait for Cars and Finding Nemo on Blu-ray.

I would look at historitic page and find movies that you are interested in and look at the reviews.

DEFINATELY READ THE REVIEWS AS SOME OF THE OLDER BLU-RAYS WERE AWFUL

This just shows that Blu-ray quality has improved - I believe Open Season was the first title where it started to improved.

Agree I wish all titles had DTS on it - I would expect that for spending more.
