Seeing the trailer made me hate myself. It looks like a really cheap movie. Something that ABC would have done in the late 90s.

I loved this film and its message. Can't wait for it on Blu!

They'll need to update the title a la "Star Wars" becoming "Episode IV" when it was re-released: "Atlas Shrugged: Part 1 (of 1)."

I loved this movie. It was very well done and didn't look cheap.

You get frustrated by seeing the roadblocks placed in front of the main character. I plan to read the novel. I hope they are going to move forward on parts 2 and 3 which are planned to open on "Tax" weekend April 15, 2012 and 2013.

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie on Blu a few times.

I'm assuming that "Part 1" will be on the cover, unless they want to leave it off so as not to scare buyers that may wait until Part 2.

A less then 5 million BO take surely assures more.

Did know much about this but a 12% Tomatometer will be enough to keep me away...

Given that the storyline celebrates Capitalism which seems to be very unpopular with the half of the country that are either misguided or ill-informed, I wouldn't put much stock in the Tomatometer rating. Including most of our political office holders who seem to believe Socialism is the way of the future.

This was an "Independent Film" which are not always bad because of low budgets and limited distribution. It was really well done and well acted for the money it cost to make. The unknown talent did a really good job.

Those on the far left will demagogue the film only for political reasons, and the rest on the left will not see it for fear of being branded "Open-Minded" or "Uncool" by their peers.

It made me want to pick up the book and read the book. The nice thing about the movie is I'm sure it scaled down the opinions of the author dramatically to get to the heart of the story.

I guess you do not take much stock in BO earnings either, which took big pass on it, but I guess that’s ‘socialism’ as well. If only this flick could of gotten some of Bush’s tarp cash, that’s now capitalism.

BTW did this production apply for ‘tax credits’?

Three parts is scaled down? Lol. Granted it was a thick book but this is not LOTR you are talking about here. And yeah I have read the book but only around one quarter through cause it read like far right drivel with rants from the author inserted in, breaking the ‘third wall’ if you will.

I love Rand’s 1957 (start of the jet age) claim that totally privatizing the US railroads would not merely save it but make the passenger end wildly successful. But alas in 1971 that well known socialist Nixon had to nationalize the passenger rail services to stop it from becoming non-existent. The communist commuters won thanks to the tricky Dick.
