Thanks. I think this finally seals my decision on this one. Although I had no outstanding interest in the story of this movie, I'm always on the lookout for another great 3D presentation. I've been on-the-fence on this one for some time. Knowing that the 3D doesn't add much since (as suspected) it's mostly a bunch of claustrophobic underground cave scenes....helps me save $25 (or $35 or whatever insane gouge Best Buy is demanding these days).

Now...can someone review Final Destination 3D and save me $42 at BB on that?:smile:

I have to, respectfully, disagree with the video rating and the concluding comment ''stick with the 2D''. This flick has some AMAZING depth and pop to it. Some of the underwater scenes were incredible to look at. One of the better 3D movies out ther, imo, and you can tell that this had James Cameron's touch all over it.

Agree with the review pretty much on all points. It had the makings of a really solid film, it just fell short in certain key areas. I thought the 3D depth was quite good actually, I found myself completely absorbed in the movie at times. I was able to rent the 3D version from Movie Trading Co., I strongly recommend it as a rental if you can.

All of the characters were whiny and stupid except for Richard Roxburgh's. It made the film a bit of a chore.
