Seriously? I thought the music rights on this were impossible to untangle. This is really a "hell freezes over" announcement.

Added cover art.

Is this worth owning or is it considered an abomination?

i'll buy it just to say i finally saw it. 80 mins means it's a dramatically different cut, so it'd be pretty neat.

does IMDb have a track listing?

A little of both.

You really have to think of this as being Giorgio Moroder's Metropolis, not Fritz Lang's Metropolis. It's Moroder's interpretation of the material - sort of like Andy Warhol painting Campbell's Soup cans and making them his own.

If there were ever such a thing as Disco Postmodernism, I guess this would be it.

About frickin time!! I grew up with this version. I have the unofficial DVD that someone remastered (google search it) but to have it done by the guys at Kino is going to be fantastic!

Default What the ...?

Since a lot of people invested years in research to find as many pieces to the puzzle as possible to restore the wonderful original film, I don't see any reason to release this version..
