Default 'The Twilight Zone: Season 5' - High-Def Digest Review

Aaron has just reviewed 'The Twilight Zone: Season 5.' So is this season as good on Blu-ray as the last four were? Does William Shatner like dramatic pauses? (The answer is yes.) We'll tell you why this is a MUST OWN.

Season 5 was incredible!
I can't believe what an awesome job they did with these blu-rays, from your reviews
I need to get these but I need the price to come down a bit

Those prices on the Amazon sale seemed pretty reasonable.

Box set for $100. I'll wait.

I'll be waiting for the inevitable boxset as well. Hopefully, whenever it gets released, Costco will have it on sale (Holiday special?).

Still, I'm always glad to read that the individual sets are so well done by Image. I never thought we'd get the full series when TZ was first announced, let alone with such great A/V and all those extras.

Nice review, Aaron.

Great review, looking forward to it dropping a bit in price as well. But I've been trying to pick these up fairly soon after release as a thank you to Image (basically I'll grab at the first $50-$60 sale; TZ is probably my #1 show of all time so I'm ok spending the money, and I never bought a complete DVD set so it's not a double dip), they really did an amazing job on these sets and I'll agree I didn't think we'd ever see it to the end. (I figured maybe seasons 1 & 2 and then they'd be abandoned, and maybe picked up later on with a half-assed job of major corners cut just to make a quick buck) It really is a beautiful set and I wish more older movies/TV shows were as lovingly cared for in their journey to Bluray.

Yeah, they were, but that was only the first four seasons.

With time this one will come down in price too. I've been picking them up when Amazon has them for around $45.

Minor nitpick, but Ambrose Bierce did not direct An Occurance at Owl Creek Bridge as he had been dead for a half century by the time the film was made. Bierce wrote the short story on which it was based -- Robert Enrico directed the film.

I saw the review and just bought all 5 seasons yesterday. I could wait for the Blu Ray box set. I bought the original box set of DVDs and it went for 140 just a year ago. I wouldn't expect to see a huge reduction in price when the inevitable set comes out. My guesstimate is around 240.
