    Default 'Hair (1979)' - High-Def Digest Review

Our review of 'Hair' has just been posted. Steven Cohen says this is a fun, entertaining, musical look at the hippie counterculture and 1960s America. This Blu-ray features acceptable video and audio but no extras! Recommended based on the movie itself, even if the disc is lacking.

    Default The hair in Hair

Treat Williams' hair was only partially his, the rest was a weave. Donny Dacus, who was part of the band Chicago at the time (he wasn't a very good fit and lasted through only two albums), showed his real hair, as did Dorsey Wright, who played Woof/Lafayette. Famed choreographer Twyla Tharp provided the dance moves and had a cameo (in the "wedding" scene; she was the pastor).
I agree with the reviewer: Hair is a fun movie, but could have used a remaster on the film itself, and a few extras thrown in for good measure.
