Default Indiana Jones Trilogy news...transfers are finished!

From avs...

Quote:
Frank Marshall, the producer of all 4 films, was on "Geek Time" yesterday. He said the transfers for the blu-rays are done and approved by Spielberg with modifications. All he said was changed was the brightness during the jungle chase at the beginning of the film. Spielberg felt it was too dark. He gave no release date but having the blu-rays done and approved I'm betting spring 2012 which has been speculated elsewhere too.
Check out geek time on Sirius channel 101 on Fridays at noon est
So much for Spielberg not wanting to tinker, eh?

if they change color tints, perhaps they can put an absolute black over crystal skull, make it just a black screen with audio. may not be so dumb then.

man, isn't it a shame we're being so conditioned to be apprehensive?

Only with Spielberg and Lucas, unfortunately.

Jackson, too. seems the big big titles, the ones ensured to draw BIG BIG MONEY, we have to hold our breath. see if titles are as bad as all the hype.

WTF?!?! Why!?!?! The opening scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark is SUPPOSED to be DARK! It gives the film more realism and excitement; it adds to the sense of adventure. Fuck this noise!

And Nate, I love Kingdom of the Crystal Skull I love all 4 films.

I have faith with Indiana Jones. So far all the Spielberg movies I have have been exceptional in PQ/AQ. But I also don't have everyone of his flicks.

The HD rips taken from the TV show that effects have been recreated digitally. I'm sure someone here will know more about it, but a car falling off a cliff in Last Crusade is very different (and looks pretty awful.)

Still, good news that they are on track for BD within the year.

So, is this the new 'trend', to alter the pictures on our most favorite flicks (LOTREE & now Indy)?
WTF is goin' on with this world of ours?
