Default 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off: 25th Anniversary Commemorative Packaging' coming August 2

Don't get too excited. Paramount doesn't think the anniversary is worth a new re-mastered disc or retrospective supplements. All this has is a new slipcover with a foldout map of Chicago. Ooooooh... (sarcasm). Well Paramount, if you wanted this announced on the front page then you should have done more than slapping on a slipcover and calling it a day.

It's going to be a really nice slipcover apparently. I hear Paramount's engineers are mastering it from the original artwork.

if they put borders around the art, does that count as edge enhancement?

Wow, thanks for the announcement! Talk about luck! I've got a sealed copy sitting around, one of my 49 cent enrollment selections from Columbia House, back when they were allowing BDs for enrollment. I'm going sell the sucka on Amazon and wait for this 25th Anniversary Commemorative Packaging. The heck with the slipcover, I want that map of Chicago.

Yet another total travesty by (again) not including the one and only commentary that John Hughes did.
