Default 'The Firm' - High-Def Digest Review

Aaron has just reviewed 'The Firm' Best Buy exclusive Blu-ray. He isn't a big fan of Grisham's work, but says this thriller starring Tom Cruise is probably the best adaptation of his novels thanks to Sydney Pollack's masterful direction. This Blu-ray features above average video and audio presentations for a catalog release, but there are no extras beyond trailers. Even so, this one still comes recommended.

Great movie. Too bad it's a Best Buy Exclusive.

Yeah, I'll wait for it to not be a "Best" Buy exclusive. Is that the final artwork, or maybe the slip cover is different? The artwork at bestbuy.com is mostly black with a much less obnoxious pic of Cruise.

That is the final artwork yes. The slipcover and the case have the exact same artwork.

This is my favorite Grisham adaptation also. It's a fun one to revisit every few years. I love the casting choice of Wilfred Brimley - taking the grandfatherly figure and turning him evil. I disagree with one aspect of the review - I think Gary Busey was definitely crazy in The Firm and Under Siege days. In fact he may always have been crazy.

Crazy? Yes. Certifiably insane? Not quite. He still had a few years to go before he became a person that would be right at home in Arkham Asylum.

I wouldn't be surprised if Christopher Nolan actually considered him as the Mad Hatter or the Ventriloquist for a villain in one of his movies, but then thought about things like safety and liability.

Any game that features paid loot boxes should be rated AO.
