i still wanna know why the movies are called SPY kids. there isnt any form of spying/espionage action in any of them. they are basically just heroes with cool gadgets which is fine on its own, but calling them spies makes absolutely no sense. lol

that said, the daughter has grown up quite nicely. :P though watching the first movie was distracting as she totally looked like my cousin's daughter in that one. lol

Cool gadgets = spy in today's entertainment. Smartphones are the new high tech gadget-laden Swiss army knife. Actual espionage activity is not required. We live in the "I have an iPhone, I am a spy" age.

Default Real 3D for the third?

I'd love to be able to watch this without the colored glasses! I watched it at the theatre when it came out and it even used red & blue glasses for that release.

There should be a version in 2-D. The dvd had a regular version.

the canadian disc of part 3 was in 2d as well. they don't FORCE you to watch films in 3d.

I wouldnt be surprised if Rodriguez actually converted the 3-D to digital for this release, as he pretty much worships polarized 3D in the commentary, and such a master was apparently already made during the production but no one had the equipment to show it on.

but that won't happen seeing as there's a 99/100 chance that RR has NO involvement in this release whatsoever.

Lionsgate didn't release Alpha and Omega on BD3D. they won't release Spy Kids 3 that way either. who knows, maybe a double dip long, long down the road, but considering how truly awful the film is, we're not exactly losing anything.

^True. That really is most likely. but Rodriguez does seem to be the type that likes to optimize his movies on home media much in the same way Peter Jackson and George Lucas do(minus the personalized cuts).

That's the way he talks about both HD and polarized 3D in the bonus material.
