Default What's the difference between Cars?

Is there any different between the Cars disc I bought in 2008 and the one released yesterday other than the DVD?

Nope. I don't think so. Other than it will match all the other oversized cases that your other Pixars are in and will have a matching slipcover. Oh, and a digital copy.

No, it has a standard case.

it sounds just like that ultimate set, only without the cars themselves, in a new package, for no reason other than to just add the DVD to the standard release.

No, it only includes a DVD copy of the film and updated slip cover with a more recent Disney Blu-ray logo. The version from the Cars gift set is quite similar with the spine (updated logo) and includes the DVD as well.

The disc is identical to the original release, but if you like the visual look of the new covers I would buy as Pixar is re-releasing Ratatouille, UP and Wall-E this way this Summer.

Yeah, but they are phasing out the Digital Copy editions to thin releases.

I'd rather have Finding Nemo this summer than rereleases.

It's funny when you think about it. Finding Nemo was shown in every Blu-Ray trailer since they first came out, and now, it is going to be the last Pixar movie released. What gives?
