Default 'Moonstruck' - High-Def Digest Review

We've just posted our review of 'Moonstruck.' Aaron just watched this classic for the first time. It was love at first sight. This is a great romantic comedy. This Blu-ray features fine video and audio, and the same extras from the DVD. Do yourself a favor and check this one out. Recommended.

I don't think I've watched this since it first hit VHS, but I remember haaaaaaaating it.

"Lookata mee-a. I'm-a big-a Italiano stereotype-a. Lookata moon-a, ina za sky-a. Itza big-a as a pizza pie-a. Zat's amore! Ciao bella!"

Maybe it's not that bad, but it sure felt that way at the time.

It's a fantastic movie and this BD will be sweet relief from the terrible DVD release. However, I must join the growing internet throng and register my complaint at the brutally ugly *ahem* "re-imagining" of the poster art that's hideously draped across the cover and rapes our eyeballs mercilessly.

Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash
we have very little reason to be interested in them.

Cage's tirade on how he lost his hand is hilarious!

Cage = hilarious, so Cage on a tirade = hilarious, and Cage losing a hand = hilarious.

i like that kind of equation.

That is pretty much exactly how I felt watching this for the first time to review on Blu-ray a couple of weeks ago (see signature).

I think that I just plain don't get John Patrick Shanley's idea of comedy. Joe vs. the Volcano is another movie that has a lot of fans, but that I thought was astoundingly terrible.
