Default 'Weeds: Season Six' - High-Def Digest Review

Nate says 'Weeds' made a miraculous turnaround in the sixth season. The show has definitely been pumped full of new life. This Blu-ray set features exceptional video, weaker audio, and plenty of extras as always. Recommended.

Nate had me at "By the end of the fifth season of 'Weeds,' I had no faith left in the series." as well as "'Weeds' really had me ready to hit someone by the end of the fifth season"

My sentiments exactly so he really has me intrigued that he liked it and maybe I will, too. I think I'm going to give it a try since I have all the previous seasons. Although the fact that the previous seasons on blu-ray were $9.99 each on Amazon Black Friday last year it makes me want to wait to purchase it for the oh-so-low holiday prices once again.

I gave in and bought it at Walmart. I've got a few shows left on disk 2 to view tonight.

I'll have to avoid the used Blu-ray section at FYE so I won't see a used one for $12 next week.

I just wish they'd bring back the "Tiny Boxes" song. Oh how I miss that opening.

I agree that this season is an upgrade to the last two, but I still think the show should have ended after three. The finale for that season would have been a great series ender. I miss Heylia and Conrad.

Yeah it was a neat idea, and I was surprised at some of the people they got to do it.

I own the first three on blu-ray and after hearing about the abysmal seasons that followed, this review came as a surprise. Could I jump from 3 to 6 and not really miss anything?

Not really. Try to at least read a good synopsis of four and five before starting six or you'll be pretty lost, probably.

you absolutely cannot skip 4 and 5 to get to 6. there are too many characters, and way too many changes. Shane and Silas are completely different characters. new husband, new kid. changes in the Andy/Nancy dynamic. then there's the way numerous characters are abandoned, the ones who were gone after season 3, and now the ones abandoned after season 5.
