If there was EVER a movie that DID NOT call for a sequel, this is it. First one was absolute garbage... like... pure trash. I'm just.... baffled. Legitimately baffled.

Maybe that's why Ray Liotta took the gig. Odds were, he was going to be in a sequel that is better than the original, which is rare, and probably looks good on the resume.

Nah, the first film was pretty bad ass and completed Daid Ayer's Los Angeles trilolgy.

Training Day
Harsh Times
Street Kings

I was surprised how much I liked Street Kings. But a sequel? Naaaw.

I try to think about Street Kings, as a fucked up sequel to Point Break, where Johnny Utah has finally flipped. lol

I like Street Kings a lot, but I wouldn't say it's bad ass. It's more like a Loaded Weapon 1-style spoof of gritty LA cop dramas. Saying it's part of a trilogy that includes Training Day is very funny to me.
