My guess is they'll probably release it around the time the new Bond flick comes out in theaters, maybe 2013 or 2014?

Hopefully soon before Craig decides he does not want to do it anymore. And with the elongated wait time, the next Bond movie better be ten times better than Casino Royale and be at least 3 hours long since they have had plenty of time to plan while waiting for the MGM issue to clear up. I just do not understand why Sony does not just go ahead and do the next movie now since they own part of the franchise.

10x better than Casino Royale? I don't see how as I thought it was a great Bond flick. Now QoS on the other hand...

agree about Sony needing to go ahead and make movies. I swear, execs can be a braindead lot. And Goldeneye on BR would be great!

Goldeneye is my favorite Bond movie by far. But then again I like most of them.

Sony does not own a part of the Bond Franchise their involvement ended with QOS. Unless something changed recently.,. MGM and the Cubby Broccoli family each own half of the franchise. Personally my fingers are crossed for a new Bond, one who can stand up to the new 2 year schedule MGM wants.

The GoldenEye Blu would probably port over the last DVD special features, which are pretty good. although they need to fix the master because the last DVD release had problems.
My guess would be that we might see the other Bond movies released on blu once MGM is out of bankruptcy and they decide on a new Distributor, hopefully cutting glitchy Fox out. If not this year then certainly next year for the 50th Bond Anniversary.

I agree. They really need to remaster the whole movie for the Blu-ray. Early 90's DVD's look like shit.

What annoys me is they are once again dipping into the franchise with rererereleasing the same films on DVD, no Blu's in sight, 007 Collection: Sean Connery: Volume 1 on January 18th. How bout less effort into rehashing the same titles and giving the rest of the collection a HD release?

Craig's stretching the believability of him being a 'young' Bond at the start of his career... he almost looks about as old as Brosnan did near the end of his tenure, and he's what, 41-42?
