Default 'Rush Hour' - High-Def Digest Review

Aaron peck has reviewed 'Rush Hour.' He says this is mainly for the fans. Personally, he finds Chris Tucker and Brett Ratner a little annoying. This Blu-ray features so-so video, better audio, and the same extras as the DVD. Worth a look, primarily if you're a fan.

Note: Watch the documentary Before, During and 'After the Sunset' on the 'After the Sunset' DVD for a jawdropping look at a director's ego gone wild (when Ratner bothers to get off his cell phone that is.)).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They shot parts of Red Dragon in my place of business and what was hilarious was that I saw Brett walking in having this loud ass conversation on a cell phone, then my buddy, the security guard threw his ass out of the building. I turned to him and said, "man, you just threw the director out." My friend respondesd with " I don't give a fuck who that was."

Good times.

One correction: Chris Tucker disappeared from the limelight after Rush Hour 2, and only popped up again for part 3 which, after watching it, I was convinced was only made because Tucker harangued everyone into doing it. I assume he really, really needed the payday.

It's actually a really good comedy, with an entertainign story and it's one of the better buddy cop movies out there not to mention the action sequences are really good. It showcases both Jackie and Tucker's humor. The 3rd film just felt like a rehash of ideas with boring characters, boring plot and eh sequences. That's why I hate 3 but Jackie and Chris singing in the 3rd one was hilarious haha. Anyway disappointed that the pq sucked on this.

He didn't need any money. He got 20 million for part 2 and part 3. He doesn't make films for less than that anymore.

Jackie made more, though, because he owns the Asian rights to the entire trilogy.

OK, well first of all it's less than 20 mil because you have to take out taxes and agent's fees and stuff like that. Second of all, in the 6 YEARS between parts 2 and 3, it's entirely feasible that a guy like Tucker could blow through 20 million dollars, especially considering he didn't do anything else the whole time.

Third of all I don't know what you mean by "he doesn't make films for less than that anymore." He doesn't make films anymore period. Maybe that's why; price is too steep for what you get and no one wants to pay it.

You're assuming way too much.
