Default 'Micmacs' - High-Def Digest Review

Josh has reviewed Jean-Pierre Jeunet's 'Micmacs.' He says this movie is a lot of fun. This Blu-ray features excellent video and audio and a few good supplements. This is highly recommended.

Zero interest in this, huh? That just makes me sad.

Y'all know how I feel about Jean-Pierre Juenet's films.

I'll be getting this and Delicatessen for Christmas. I already have Amelie and A Very Long Engagement in import form.

This is a great film if you liked Delicatessen and City of Lost Children as it fits into that kind of film. Just don't expect Amelie or A Very Long Engagement or you will be disappointed I think.

I remember wanting to go see this at the movies but missed the oppurtunity.

So I was pretty excited to watch the BD rental I got from Netflix yesterday. Saw it last night and was not disappointed. Got off to a slow start for me but once Bazil got adopted into the family, started getting into it and by the second act, was pretty much hooked. The final act and the ending in particular was excellent to me. Loved the humor in it most of all but it certainly won't be for everyone. I found it to be a breath of fresh air and a joy to watch. I'll be getting this once the price drops a little bit more.

Haha! So true.

Thankfully with Christmas around the corner I should be able to latch onto a copy of Micmacs.
