I love this movie, not to sure if they can make it look any better though. The last two dvds were o.k.

I've only seen the film once. It was also during my late, late teen years/earlier 20's. So, I'd like to see it again.

I did purchase the novel, but never got around to reading it.

God dammit, I just got this on DVD thinking it would never ever make it to BD. Oh well.

I have fond memories of this movie which I saw like, a dozen times when I was a kid. I recorded it on VHS when it aired and wanted to make everyone in my family watch it. Maybe it's bigger in my mind than what it actually is, but I'll still buy it out of nostalgia when I have the chance.

This is such an underrated movie. Great news!

I'm interested to see if it would be a significant upgrade over the DVD.

Great movie. Can't believe it is making it to Blu so soon. I was pretty sure it would never be released.

This was one of those movies that i watched countless times on VHS as a child. As an adult I decided to read the book a few years ago (the deluxe addition that included the short story follow-up Two Hearts) and ended up loving it. So I decided to see if the movie could hold up after all those year....unfortunately, it didn't really pass the nostalgia test for me (some of it worked, but most of it didn't).
By the way, if any of you like fantasy, you should really give the book a try (make sure you read Two Hearts as well though, it truly turned a good book into one of my all time favorites)

And here's a bit of clarification about Lionsgate's forthcoming Blu-ray Combo release of The Last Unicorn on 2/22 (SRP $19.98). When the film was released on DVD a few years ago, the audio was censored to remove a couple of mild profanities and one image in the film was briefly blurred. The new Blu-ray will be offer the film completely uncensored, but it will also include the edited "family friendly" audio track for those who prefer it. Both the censored and uncensored audio tracks will be DTS-MA 5.1. That comes directly from studio sources (and thank you to those sources!), so fans can rest easy.

I thought this was really interesting. Disney could take notes.

Now, lets see how the actual disc holds up. Lionsgate might have to take notes.
