Default 'Beauty and the Beast (Diamond Edition)' - HIgh-Def Digest Review

Aaron has reviewed the Blu-ray release of 'Beauty and the Beast (Diamond Edition).' The film has never looked better on home video. With five star video and audio, along with plenty of extras, this is a must read review of a must own title.

I can think of a movie from their collection that could benefit more from a 7.1 mix, of course it will probably never show up on Bluray anytime soon, but that movie is Hercules, its one of my favorites from them (that and Aladdin) and I hope that they make their way to Bluray someday soon and both would be better suited for a great new sound mix IMO, this will definitely be an own at some point as I love Disney and their films!

Hercules will be awesome, and I have no doubt that the 'Fantasia' films coming out soon will sound most splendid.

I bought the Platinum DVD edition years ago and I never even watched it on that format, so I'm not sure if I'm going to buy this. I love the movie though!

I'll be picking this up for sure. Can't wait for Aladdin though.

Cant support this. It uses the same saturday morning cartoon colors from the platinum DVD.
imo, they RUINED the movie with this restoration.

Video comparison. Most of the lighting and shadows are gone in the new restoration. Pay attention to when they turn off the candles in the ballroom. The original has a blue hue cause theres only moonlight.

Here's the thread from the bargain section. First post has the link, second post has the code. You just have to sign up and join Disney Movie Rewards(it's totally free).

btw, I have this on order w/ Amazon. My daughter loves Belle, so I know she will be excited when it arrives. I need to upgrade from my stoneage vhs copy.
