Some of these are mildly entertaining, but there is no way this should be $30 MSRP. $15 maybe, it's just a collection of short cartoons.

So part of the Disney/Pixar deal is crappy DTV spin-offs, or is there some chance this will actually be good?

My son totally loves the shorts, and I gotta say that I do enjoy them myself as well so we've been waiting for these to come out on Blu-Ray. I pre-orderd mine from Amazon earlier, its currently going for $20.99:

These are mildly funny (seen 4 of 'em), but the joke is on us. We were rumored to be getting Finding Nemo as the Toy Story 3 companion, but instead, they dumped this crap on us. Yes, crap in comparison.

This is like early format releases, where studios release the bad stuff because they know early adopters are desperate for content.

A huge disappointment. And even at $20.99, a total ripoff.

Finding Nemo is coming out November 9th. Other than that I totally agree.

I really enjoy these, and my son does too. I've seen 5 of them, and although the price is too high, give me a $10 coupon with a $20 price, and I'll buy it in a minute. He'll get $10 worth of enjoyment out of it the first day!

This is not like an early format release, this is a vintage Disney release. Go to any toy section in target or walmart - you'll find some Toy Story characters around since that was the last Pixar movie released, but do you think you see anything from UP? How about a Wall-E or Eve? Ratatouille? HA! Jump back to the earlier releases - Bug's Life, Monsters Inc, The Incredibles? Nada! You'll see a couple Finding Nemo's, and a whole row of Cars characters. Not only do you have the vehicles in every size, you have the legos, the tent, the chair and table, the bikes and trikes, and so on. Cars is their lifeline of novelties! Trust me, for 6 months, all that my son could think about was Mater and Lightning McQueen. Heck, his vitamins are Cars characters to this day.

This is so typical of Disney. Cars 2 is coming out next year, so put this out to get the kids excited again (and to introduce this to a new line of kids.) They milk everything - Atlantis got a sequel direct to video, Lilo & Stitch got 2 sequels and a tv show. Be happy, Disney has now considered Blu-ray to be a nice money pipeline that they're throwing out the direct-to-video stuff onto Blu!

Don't forget the new Carsland they are building over at Disneyland. Cars will be coming back with force pretty soon.

Default Good buy

I think if this has enough content it would be worth what it is priced at. The only one they keep playing over and over again on TV is really good. I am talking at least a full movie worth of cartoons, not a bunch of Disney advertisements.
