Default 'Charlie's Angels' - High-Def Digest Review

Aaron finally sat down and watched 'Charlie's Angels.' He loved it. This Blu-ray has great video and audio and a surprisingly big collection of extras. Recommended.

Yeah, I enjoy this movie way too much; agree with the review completely. I was blown away by the Blu-ray quality, I must say--it's a glossy action film, but I was expecting it to show its age more. Instead it looks great and sounds even better! They took their time, considering that this has been on the Sony promo reel for years, but it was worth it.

I'm wondering about the easter eggs too. There are two that have been on both DVD editions, and I was assuming they'd be here too but I've had no luck finding them. Hopefully they are there; that will get rid of any excuse I have to hold on to the DVD.

(Well, not quite...there is that awesome teaser trailer. I was looking forward to seeing it in HD and was disappointed that it didn't make it.)

Aaron, totally agree...I also poo-poo'd this movie when it first came out, thinking how fun (but dumb) the show was and how a movie trying to give that same serious feel as the TV series would be terrible...then I caught the last hour or so on cable and was hooked! Got the DVD as soon as I could and have watched it a number of times (certainly a guilty pleasure, given the 'cheese' factor). Glad to see the video/audio are top-notch...definitely worth it for me to upgrade to BluRay...oh, and by the way:

"...mostly just checking out clips of Cameron Diaz dancing in her underwear" - well played, sir...well played...(and heartily agree)

krylonman, never knew eggs existed on the DVD! How do I access those?

yes, Diaz dancing in her spiderman underroos is unbelievable hot and sexy. i'm not an "ass man" in the least, i like the boobies but that one scene is just mesmorizing. lol

and this movie also opened my eyes to how hot and sexy Lucy Liu is, i never really looked at her in that way before this movie. but seeing this in theaters, i became a Liu lover for life. :P

but yeah this is a total fun, over the top, brain candy sorta movie. they were very smart to go the direction they did because it wouldnt have been pretty at all had they tried to be serious like the show did. Part 2 was also pretty fun, took the over the top-ness even further but i liked it.

I'm probably going to put the order in for this one. Love the movie, also. It's good times.

I can watch this movie but I've never particularly liked it. It always struck me as odd that I felt the males in the film were more interesting to watch than the women. Luke Wilson, Matt LeBlanc, and Bill Murray were better than the three leads. I was pleased to see a nod to Rockwell's dancing skills though.

I think Lucy Liu is a hot piece of Ass. Maybe a blind buy once it hits the $4.99 bargain bin in a few years.

Love to see her on HD! Also Cameron Diaz is quite hot in this movie. But Drew Barrymore I don't see attractive in this movie.

But for the movie, it's watchable and enjoyable but nothing too special. But the first Charlie's Angels is still much better than it's sequel. Actually I still like the original TV-series more than the movie.
