OFFICIAL Alien Quadrilogy Blu-ray thread - Oct. 26th

UPDATE: I am limited to a certain # of images in this post, and receive errors (reported in bug forum by a few other posters and myself), when trying to edit/add posts. But screen caps of BD Anthology are here:

Thanks Tech Radar UK & Dave @ TBS.

Hi fellow chestbursters,

Possibility pending success of other TV Steelbooks by Fox. Source.

8/27/2010 Update regarding possibility of Steelbooks:

Per Brana @ FS:

"No Alien Steelbook for October. We've been asking for this one all year long. Part of the challenge is it is a big boxset so it would make sense to see these released as singles as and right now they have no interest in releasing these as singles as it's all about the boxset. Also, Fox does not do exclusives for the most part whcih is challening onto itself. That being said, we are actively working with them to do the singles but it won't be until next year and even then there are so many obstacles I can't say it's more than a 20% chance right now. I'll keep you guys updated.

German Ed news:
Spoiler
More details on German "Egg" Edition & mention of "Facehugger Edition" from Areaddvd.de

"Fox now has a bigger picture of the 26th for the October planned "Egg Edition" of the "Alien Anthology" was published. This special edition Blu-ray discs with six and four DVDs is very strictly limited. Exactly how much will be the contact for each country is unknown. She seems to be larger in Germany than the demand in any case: If the illuminated amazon.de "egg was" edition shortly after the pre-orders were made possible last night officially sold out (for now?).

Currently, it remains unclear whether there will be an additional quota for amazon. With other brands, there may well still give copies and who wants to try his luck, can of course also on 26 October to get up very early to get in retail stores a copy.

When is the amazon.fr in France for 27.10. Egg-scheduled edition of "Alien Anthology" is still pre-order for 124.99 EUR. Whether the French version of a German audio track is included, is not known, as the German version of a French soundtrack has also, but quite possible.

Alien Anthology - "Facehugger" Edition (Blu-ray Disc) for 54.99 EUR at amazon.de
Alien Anthology - "Egg Limited-Edition (Blu-ray Disc) at amazon.fr for 124.99 EUR (+ shipping)"

I don't even want a box; I want Alien on Blu-ray, full stop.

I'm just hoping the wait for individual releases will be a short and sweet one.

Yes, I just need the first two films since 3 and 4 are steaming piles of peanut-filled shit. Fock the box set.

I'm down for whatevers, ey!

I'll take that set if it's readily available, otherwise a basic set of all four films will suffice.

I just want them in separate cases, so I can break them out and put the 3rd one with the rest of my David Fincher films. I'm not even sure if I've seen the 3rd one, but I have no problem with grabbing the entire set (for the right price) if they come in separate cases.
