The book was much better than the movie....although I did like it.
That being said, I'm sure this will be a nice demo disc...so I'll probably buy it

The film that proves that Peter Jackson has indeed disappeared up his own arse.

I enjoyed everything about this movie, except the most important part (the girl). I thought it was a pretty good dramatic thriller when set in the real world, but when Jackson explores this girl's "heaven" he completely misses the ball and ruins the momentum of the movie.

Saw this in theaters and liked it. Stanley Tucci is uber creepy and Mark Wahlberg & Rachel Weiss deliver great performances.

I haven't read the book, though.

I haven't read the book either, but i did enjoy the movie very much. The whole heaven thing was interesting but didn't always work imo. Stanley Tucci is great though, i totally believed his performance.

Missed it in theaters, so since it will be normally region free, it will be a blind buy

Saw this last night and was simply amazed at the PQ and imagery Jackson uses. Without a doubt, one of the best looking BD's I have ever seen, simply stunning. The AQ is good, but after a while, the PQ is so good, you feel like you are there. The story is good, but it depends on your tastes as to whether you will enjoy it. As for a top-tier reference BD, this is the one. Waiting for the review here at HDD, should be a good one.
