Default 'Avatar' coming April 22nd!!!

James Cameron himself gave the release date. Looks to be only a bare bones release with another release coming in the fall with special features and a 3D blu release as well. I will wait for the release in the fall.

There will be 25 more releases of this. Dont worry.

Im sure it will sell well. I'll leave it at that.

I'll pick up the 2D edition -- I haven't the equipment, nor the interest, for the 3D version.

Since most do not have 3D, I hope they finally realize how over rated this POS is!!!

"You have to see Avatar in 3D, it looks incredible."

I can't believe how many time I heard this. It's unbelievable that this may take Best Picture/Director?!?!?

i hope this doesn't turn into having to buy the more expensive 3D packaged one to get the supps. if that's the case then i'll just buy the april release one because i don't see myself getting a 3D setup anytime soon, if ever.

Take the 3D away and you're left with, well, not much. I anticipate that Avatar along with being the highest grossing film of all time will also be the quickest-forgotten.

I will get this one - I only watch the extras once anyway and the 2D version is all I want for home viewing. I am sure the 2D image will be fantastic.

Yes, I saw the 3D (first) and then the 2D versions in the cinema and the 2D was perfectly acceptable, even fantastic also. 3D TVs are gonna go through several technology evolutions before they interest me and most others.

The April BD will be fine.

I know that game all too well - I'm not buying until the 4D version is a go.
