The Last Stand was actually the last movie I bought on DVD before I got into Blu-Ray, so I'm looking forward to replacing my trilogy with the Blu-Ray set. And as an X-Men fanatic, I'm definitely interested in watching that Comic Book History doc.
Agreed. That documentary feature has definitely piqued my interest. I think I will just go ahead and get the box set.....but not right away.

From the review:

Quote:
Brett Ratner has been a vocal proponent of the Super35 process, which tends to increase visible film grain.
I don't think so. Most of his films, including Rush Hour 3 which was shot after X3, and 'scope music videos were filmed anamorphic Panavision. Certain shots of X3 were also shot with anamorphic lenses.

The actual review for this says 4 stars for video, so why did Attebery say 5 stars? So, I guess all the arguing about the video not being 5 stars was for nothing.

I knew it must have been a mistake, when its a 5 star, the reviewer really hypes it up and Bracke didnt.

So I guess there is no video or audio upgrades, just new xtras. I dint' think using 50 GB over 25 would make that much of an improvement, but I figured it would a little. I will say I thought the first BD had pretty good vieo and using 50 GB over 25 should let the movie and extras have more GB to use on the disc.

Well the only reason I'm picking up the Last Stand is, because it's in the box set and it's does't cost much more to buy the set over buying the first two together, although I aready had the first BD.

Just a heads up but I found the X-Men trilogy at my local Best Buy today for $65. Bought it since I didn't feel like waiting, hopefully I can get some money back when it inevitably goes on sale for the actual release.
