Howard's End would thrill me beyond reason!

Wasn't familiar with any of them.

Voted for "Down By Law" after watching all the trailers. Couldn't really find a decent trailer for "Kwaidan".

I did a write-in vote for Wong Kar-Wai's In The Mood For Love in the additional comments / other box.

we already have a wes anderson film on blu-ray though.

we have yet to get a criterion from Kurosawa (thank you very much, Weinstein! ), or from Suzuki, Renoir, Fellini, Fuller, Cronenberg, Lean, Godard, or Powell and Pressburger. hell, we only have one coming from Bergman.

Anderson's titles can wait. i'd much rather see Bruce Robinson's Withnail and I or How to Get Ahead in Advertising (which is amazingly doubtful considering it's out of print status).

Although it was a tough choice, I picked Howards End myself. Of all these movies, many of which I've seen many times, it's this charming film that I return to most often.

I love Kwaidan so voted for that movie. Carl ZIttrer composer of Black CHristmas told me that he and Bob Clark used to watch this movie together many years ago as insipiration for Black Christmas music n sound......
(to the above poster - there clips of Kwaidan on youtube)

I do however wish that they would bring Dazed and Confused to Blu Ray

Kwaidan for me as well... the current Criterion edition needs a revisit, as it is incomplete compared to the Eureka! Masters of Cinema edition that is available in the UK. (And may have some color issues, if memory serves me correctly)... plus, it's a fantastic film.

Withnail has a scheduled blu-ray release in the UK.

I saw a restored digital version of it in 2007 and it looked ok. No idea if this is what will be used for the blu-ray.
