That's the strangest PR release I've ever seen from Universal.

Hey, you get to see Elijah Wood back when he was just a little 5'6" munchkin . . . . . oh, wait . . .

Yeah, Uncle Buck is the only one that's even a rental.

Unitl Universal gets bought out by a company that knows how to do transfers like film instead of like an old video I cannot get excited by any catalog titles released by that studio.

These appear to be bargain titles. Universal seems to be doing a surge of catalog titles. Bill Hunt indicated the studios would be digging deep with the titles. Chill out already.

Uncle Buck rules, and glad to have River Wild(watched again recently, holds up pretty well, Keven Bacon is a good psycho).

Thumbs up The River Wild

I for one am completely delited w/the announcem't of 'The River Wild'....with its gorgeous Montana & Oregon locations, it'll stand to benefit the most from a hidef upgrade. When rumours of its announcem't on BD surfaced a couple years ago, I was quite disappointed when it never materialized. Obviously, I cannot wait

I can't believe that someone would even go to the (appropriate) effort of burning the Barb Wire negative, let alone bothering to transfer it in HD....

The first DVD releases of Rear Window, Vertigo, Rope, Man Who Knew Too Much and The Birds were all released in March of various years. I guess Universal held off a few weeks in those cases because February is such an awful release month.
