I thought the video was a lot better than the original snapper.

I was reading on the DVDTalk boards about Twister and someone had mentioned the DVD had deleted scenes. My snapper doesn't have deleted scenes... are there different versions out there?

I was expecting the video to be a 4 & the audio a 5.

It's a 10 year old film that I think will look great in hidef. I never expected it to look like 1 of the top tier titles that just came out in the last year.

I'm sure it will look & sound great.

Mine is on the way from Amazon. It was a blind buy for me.

Exactly what I expected.
10 years old is not an excuse for having a 3.5 star video rating....

I was impressed. the SQ is better than the PQ but both are light years above the sd counterparts. well worth an upgrade. above average catalog transfer.

How can something like this get less than 4 in AQ.

Except for The Movie Itself, I agree with the Technical review. I love Twisters and other Natural Disasters, which is why I enjoyed this a lot.

watched this last night for the first time since I saw it in the theater when it came out.
seemed a lot cooler then for sure.
the effects were all people talked about then.
"man did you see it when the cows were in the air"!!
I mean it was really 'da shit in the day.
it was fun revisiting this movie, but I really had forgotten how terribly sappy it all was; as for the "evil" better-funded group of scientists--don't even get me started.
Anyway, I'm glad I got it, but I guess I was a little disappointed overall.

Halfwasted, The 605 is much cheaper in the US (Don't know if you are in the US or not)...you can get the 605 from Amazon for around $369 I believe. I would recommend looking at the Yammaha 663 as you already mentioned and the new Onkyo 606. The 606 has a couple new features over the 605 and also has 4 HDMI inputs. Anyway, I don't want to take away from the Twister discussion so feel free to send me a PM if you want to discuss the receivers any further.

Interesting that they've ramped up the blues and reframed the cover artwork. I prefer the original. The History Channel doc is a nice extra.

I hate Warner, this movie is one of my favorites, but no Spanish audio track or subtitles

I will have to wait until a future format launch
