'Star Wars: The Clone Wars - The Complete Season Two' - High-Def Digest Review

Our review of 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars - The Complete Season Two' has just been posted. Nate didn't enjoy this season as much as he did the first one. Similarly, the Blu-ray takes a step back in the video and audio departments. Fans, this is recommended, but lower your expectations a bit.

The Tartovsky series is no longer considered canon.

I just finished watching this set last night and it's fantastic. I couldn't care less about canon.
Ahsoka Tano is JarJar? Ridiculous.

i made a 4 paragraph guide to the easter eggs, forgot to put it in, since it's rare i ever have to.

when i update our sidebar (which the system ate) this evening, i'll add it in there. sorry about that. knew there would be easter eggs in the jedi archive section, same as last year.

yep, that was the point of the first paragraph, defunct, non-canon (bullshit!), same thing. the Genndy Tartovsky series is way too good to not be considered canon anymore. they screwed the pooch on that one.

I agree. Especially since the last film tied in so well with it. That's probably the only good thing about the prequels. The fact they allowed the creation of that animated series.

eh, i won't say the ONLY good thing, but that may be the best thing they did. that, the score for Duel of the Fates, and undoing the wrongs they did by killing almost everyone. especially the younglings. and padme. all wins. why we may all may wish that Jar Jar was on Alderaan when it goes kaboom, at least the other horrible characters (Ki-Adi-Mundi) get stricken from the books, never to be mentioned again.

The original Clone Wars cartoon, despite over-blowing the powers of the Jedi/sith to some degree, was an overall superior effort to this current series. Frankly, I think they've done the whole Clone Wars thing to death now. When it was mentioned in the original trilogy, it had a certain mystique about it. I don't find the actual event, now that we're seeing the stories unfold, to be entirely all that interesting. I wish they'd move on to stories set between Episode 3 and a New Hope, or a different era entirely.
