Can't say I think much of multimillionaires asking me for money...

Critereon manage to do it themselves and stay in business, by I guess picking culturally significant pieces and doing a great job. But sure maybe Warner has 6,700 titles in its library, but only ever put 2,300 on DVD - but that would likely be a commercial decision. What in that 4000+ backlog would anyone pay to see?

Yeah, these multimillionaires need to put their money where their mouth is. I can start a business or foundation in my living room, so I don't get them asking folks for cash. Motherfucker, you donate FIRST.

There are sure many jewels to be found in all the vaults. What, if the Studios would create a list with all the titles still not converted and then a list of possible releases of lets say 100 - 200 movies, that we, the consumers, could vote on ?
Instead of releasing i.e. River Wild and all those mediocre Volcano movies (Universal), they should go and release all of Hitchcocks films.
That's just an example.
And Lawrence Of Arabia is still not out...

At least Scorsese and Eastwood are trying preserve films as opposed to suggesting putting gimmicks on them.

I'm quite sure Eastwood & Scorcese have donated both their time and money so rant off.

My vote: I'm a huge Bogart fan, would love to see WB release some of his classics include the four movies with Bacall - The Big Sleep, To Have And Have Not, Key Largo and Dark Passage. At least a few of these surely pass the economically-viable test and are definitely classic movies.

I totally agree with the previous 2 posts.

There are many classics that should be preserved, ie converted to lovely HD :)

I'm still waiting for The Firm (1993 John Grisham drama) on BD.
Apparently Paramount started the process - BD box art has been out there for many months.
