This movie did not do as well as it should have and Elisabeth Shue is still hot by the way.

I have the UK Version which has the 2D Version the 3D version and the 3D version for cheap people like me who like the paper/plastic glasses.. the latter I am gonna watch right now. I though, OK I will watch it if the movie got more thatn 2 1/2 stars.. and it clearly did.. I am really looking forward to it.. but if there aren't any great 3D effects I'll switch to the 2D Version.. Will be back in two hours to say if it's really as good as this review has made me to believe

I watched this one in 3D in the theater and really liked it. Good cheesy, gory fun. My only complaint is that it didn't last even longer. It seemed to be over so quick.

Whats with the deleted scenes? Anything worth owning in there or renting for?

Default Just picked up the 3D version.

I figured that if the deleted scenes are worth a damn I can rent the regular Blu-ray. Even if the 3D transfer is shit I can then just watch the 2D version on the disc. I like the fact that this is a single disc edition, no need for the vhs, dvd, blu-ray, laser-disc + digital copy version.

The film was awesome. I'm glad I bought it. Can't wait for Piranha 3DD.

I can't believe how high this movie was scored, and how many posters here are in agreement. IMO Piranha 3D was the WORST movie of 2010. If you wanted to see a brainless-blood-&-boobs movie, then this movie certainly met such low expectations. But if you wanted to see a good horror movie, Piranha 3D was a terrible disappointment. There wasn't a likeable character in the movie -- except for the Sheriff, her two youngest children, and Christopher Lloyd's cliched scientist -- I was hoping that the super-piranhas killed EVERYONE else. The twist at the end was kinda good (if you don't bother to ask why the huge adult piranhas weren't in on the feeding frenzy); but the climax wherein an underwater explosion from two propane tanks somehow kills every demon fish in the entire lake? That was so ridiculous that it killed this movie too.

I'm a fan of boobs and horror movies, but the way Piranha 3D shamelessly exploited and combined the two was incredibly off-putting. This is a one-time, guilty-pleasure rental, at best. If you're stupid enough to buy it, you'd HIDE it from your girlfriend. I bet the posters who claimed that this movie is a no-brainer-first-day-buy will forget about this movie in a month or two, never watch it again... and then go see Piranha 3DD in theatre this summer.
