Decoded in the player the way it's meant to be heard.

I have an HD audio receiver but not a standalone player so it's LPCM via HDMI for me. I wish all BDs had lossless audio. Ya hear me Warner?

I've got my Sony and my Toshiba HD DVD player bitstreaming to my Denon. Love it! And they make all kinds of pretty lights on the receiver! lol

my receiver is capable of decoding HD audio, but my BD player decodes and outputs PCM, so the receiver never really has to do that extra work

Is there even a difference between letting the Blu-Ray player do the decoding and letting the receiver do the decoding? I mean, they should really give you the exact same end result, shouldn't they?

I'm in love with my Pioneer VSX 7.1 receiver. Full HD decoding (via Monster Cable HDMI), THX ex decoding, DTS Neo:6, Dolby Pro Logic IIx (which makes 2.0 sound almost like 5.1) and of course PCM bitstream, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA.

It looks like over the past couple of months that Warner has listened to the consumer and is providing TrueHD audio on all current/upcoming releases. Now if only they'd go back and reissue their earlier titles with TrueHD like they did with SUPERMAN RETURNS, a remastered SPEED RACER would be most appreciated (hint, hint, wink, wink, nudge, nudge).
