Warner didn't recycle discs after 1 and 2. And the extended cuts were not an exclusive, nor promised feature, of the UE blu-rays--and they were ever advertised as such. The extended cuts of 1 and 2 were originally created for ABC Family.

Warner pressed new discs for both 4 and 5, with each adding a formerly HD DVD-exclusive In-Movie-Experience PiP track.

i stopped at 3 and 4 with the recycled movie disc. that's what matters to me. wb has been bleeding this property dry, it seems, the way they keep trying to make us buy the same films over and over.

i know aaron is excited, though.

As am I. It will go nicely with all the ultimate editions, my Years 1-5 trunk set, my French HP castle set, and my Elder wand set lol.

I bought my HP set from the UK. I paid around $93 USD for it when I preordered it last year, and it has all of the movies and the special features. It doesn't have the 3D discs, but that doesn't bother me since they apparently aren't worth a crap.

In all honesty, I wouldn't even pay $500 if this included 3D versions of all 8 films or extended versions. I wouldn't pay $200 for this thing. $150 would be my limit. This may end up being the biggest disaster Warner has ever released. Of course, the MPAA will probably say that the reason for poor sales are astronomical piracy rates rather than the fact that most people already own the movies, and that the set is unreasonably priced

At this point I've gotta think J.K. Is thinking, "Come on Warner, how about you give the fans what they really want instead of what they've already bought."

Give me extended versions or Forget it.

18 movie discs equals 8 Blu-rays, 8 DVDs, and 2 Blu-ray 3D discs. OK, I get that. But 13 special features discs? How many special features discs did each of the Ultimate Editions have?

Years one and 2 both had 2 special feature discs - the DVD that originally shipped with the special features, and the Creating the World of Harry Potter (or whatever its called) Blu-Ray disc. So, let's say 2 discs each for the first five movies (the special Blu-Ray disc plus the DVD, equals 10 discs) plus the bonus discs from movies 6-8 equals 13 special features discs

This boxset is massively overpriced however you look at it. I'm sure that there will be people who buy it as soon as it hits. As for me, I'll stick to the UK boxset that I got for $50.
