'Flatliners' - High-Def Digest review

Peter's review of 'Flatliners' is up. While the merits of the film itself are debatable, he says this Blu-ray disc delivers on the bottom line with a very solid transfer and soundtrack for a film nearing its twentienth anniversary.

I've always liked flatliners, not because it's a great movie, but for it's uniqueness. I've never thought of it as a horror movie though? I'm definately adding this to my queue of catalogue flicks.

Definitely a must have for me without reading any reviews.

5.1 PCM!

The DVD had 2.0 stereo only.

Is Flatliners an encode that Sony have had lying around for a while? I ask this because it's not AVC and scores lower for PQ than most Sony releases this year.

Edit: just noticed that is got the same PQ score as Cruel Intentions, which looked excellent on my set up Still, does anyone know why we are back to mpeg2 for Flatliners?

I'm on the fence with this one. I'll probably pickup Seven Years in Tibet instead.

That cover "art" is the most hideous I have ever seen in my entire life.

I am a little weary of this one as well. Saw it once and that was some time ago. It was ok...but nothing to write home about. Have to think about it.p_-

This might sound strange to some, but you know how crimson tide is a good movie, but also how it shows those awesome deep colors of red and blue in the submarine? Same with flatliners... I like the colors. Simplistic.
