Seriously though, it would be nice if studios simply stayed with a SINGLE motif through at least one generation of releases? Eg. Different slip cover style for the PotC, wtf???????
i guess Platinum just ain't shiny enough for them

I only watched the Plat DVD once, so I guess I'm just buying to buy lol On the idea of the next name...Disney Signature Edition, Disney Prestige Edition, Disney Ultimate Edition, Disney Elite Edition are a few they could go with.

I'm going to get these for sure!

So what I understand the Diamond editions will end up being the same as the Platinum editios, just with a different name?

Diamonds gounds nice. I expect a little Diamond embossed at the top center of the cover.

As for this title, I'd still like to see a restored and not recreated Snow White. This is amazing to look at on SD DVD and is sure to be the same on Blu-ray, but I do not believe the animators imagined the final product we will see here. It's too slick. Just my personal opinion.

Have you even seen the framed hand painted stills from Snow White?

They look, INCREDIBLY SLICK.

Bluray is the first time we'll be able to watch the film, the way it was drawn.

Is it a restoration of the theatrical presentation, NO.

Is it a restoration of how each hand painted frame looked originally, YES.

Damn, I thought when I read the title that disney was putting out another line of blu-rays so that it's not six damn months between releases. Wishful thinking, I suppose.
