Does anyone else get raging headaches watching anything in 3D, though? The last time I tried I was literally sick the rest of the night and just ended up having to sleep it off.
Yeah I tried watching The Polar Express in 3D and had to turn it off after about 15 minutes.

Was this at home with red/blue glasses or in theater with polarized ones?

It's not coming out in Australian cinemas until August, so it'll be a blind buy for me.

Does anybody else NOT? All I ever hear is that people can't do it... I invite friends over to watch movies in 3D and practically none of them make it far... but it has NEVER once bothered me.

I've never had problems at theaters, and this will be the first one to test. If I make it through, I may buy My Bloody Valentine too, just to have 8 3D glasses for my friends and another 3-D movie to boot.

Absolutely loved this movie in theaters in 3D. This is going to be great at home on blu ray.

Default 3-D at home vs theatrical 3-D

I love seeing 3-D (or Real-D) in theaters, but at home, you can still only get the archaic, outmoded, and -- yes -- headache inducing two-colour 3-D technology. That crap has been around since the 50's at least, and it's worthless.

I refuse to watch 3-D at home anymore until they make the newer technologies available. They are even coming out with a glasses-free technology that should be mind-blowing. Especially once it starts getting used by video game developers!

But to those who do suffer the sickening effects at home, don't let that deter you from checking out a 3-d movie in theaters, with the polarized glasses technology. It's very easy on the eyes/head, and just stunning to see.

I can't wait for UP! and Avatar.
